Campanulaceae: a delicate and slender perennial of dry, grassy places. The flowers are 20-25mm long, bell-shaped and bluish purple, on slender stalks, blooming from July-September. The leaves are spoon-shaped. Local to parts of Southern England and parts of Wales, but sadly declining.
Rapidly germinating, keep seed in constant moisture (not wet) with temperatures of about +20°C [68°F]. Seeds must be covered thinly. Do not cover very small seeds, but tightly press into the earth. Likes a well-drained calcareous soils particularly those on chalk and limestone.
