Plantaginaceae: an herbaceous biennial or perennial plant. Found mountains areas, bushy slopes or areas left after logging. Flowering stem can reach a height of 70–120cm. The pale-yellow bell-shaped flowers are spaced out on the stem, 3–4cm long and show a netted brown marking in their interior. Glossy green, veined leaves. Native to southern Europe and Asia.

Surface sow seeds early spring in a cold frame or greenhouse, seeds usually germinates in 2 - 4 weeks at 20°C. When they are large enough to handle, prick the seedlings out into individual pots and plant them out in the summer. If you have enough seed, it can be sown outdoors in situ in the spring or autumn.
