Juncaceae: A clump-forming perennial grass with hair-edged leaves. Airy panicles of brown flowers arch above the foliage up to 80cm in height in May and June. Spreads slowly by stolons. This wood-rush makes good ground cover especially in shady places. Native from Europe to the Caucasus.
These seeds germinate readily at 15 - 20°C. If germination does not occur after 3–4 weeks a cooling period of 2–4 weeks is recommended.
