Asteraceae: a perennial herb sometimes more than 150 cm (5’) tall. Found in open woods, prairies, fields, and waste areas, with white flowers that bloom in the late summer and fall. Native to eastern and central North America.
Rapidly germinating, keep seed in constant moisture (not wet) with temperatures of about +20°C [68°F]. Seeds must be covered thinly. Do not cover very small seeds, but tightly press into the earth. Keep in cooler conditions after germination occurs.
Succeeds in an ordinary well-drained but moisture retentive garden soil in sun or part shade.
